Laura, the freewrite turns ROUTE into a testimony about direction changing at the moment self-reliance runs out. The darkness, the knees among the wildflowers, and the plea for rescue give grace a geography: Christ meets the traveler at the end of her own strength and carries her across from death into life. John 5:24 completes that movement by naming salvation as a crossing secured through faith. Grateful for the clarity and conviction with which you made rerouting feel like surrender received by mercy.

Wonderful poem! He really knows what's best for us. He will not only seek and find us, but fling us on His shoulders and carry us to green pastures!
